Contest Information
The Mr. Awesome contest celebrates Seattle's men for their personality, their creativity, and their drive for success. There are a lot of great guys—now find out what it takes to rise above that! Compete against the best and brightest gentlemen for fantastic prizes, a glorious trophy, and the honor of being Mr. Awesome!
All finalists will be posted soon. People's Choice Contest will then open for online voting through Paypal. A dollar a vote and the money raise by the candidate who win the online contest will go to a charity of his choice.
Contest Overview
You’ll be judged on your personality (sense of humor), passion, charm, stage presence, and creativity.
Contestants should prepare for the Mr. Awesome of Seattle event by considering their plan for the following events:

Round 1 - Opening intro and strike a pose (think of this song: I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred)! (30 seconds)
Don’t worry; the walk should be very simple and easy!
Do your little turn on the catwalk! The movie, Zoolander, might help you with turn idea!
Then you will be asked to introduce yourself and tell the audience your name and something awesome about Seattle!

Round 2 - Give a demonstration to something you're passionate about! (1-3 minute time limit)
Think sports, singing, martial arts, dancing, stand-up routine, yo-yo spinning, etc. Be creative when you demonstrate this!

Round 3 - The Dress for Your Date event! (1-3 minute time limit)
This is your chance to dress as you would for your idea of an awesome date. Model your outfit for the audience and describe the date's highlights. Think tux and tails for a candlelit dinner, a stylish apron for your ultimate home-cooked meal, or your skydiving gear for you and your date's romantic leap to dinner. Be original, be awesome!

Round 4 - Interview - Something about you! (1 minute)
You’ll be asked a question on stage! Perhaps something related to awesomeness!
Rules and Regulations
To be eligible as a Contestant:

Contestants must be at least 21 years of age by June 18th, 2011 (date of competition).

Contestants can be married, single, or widower. Quite frankly, we don’t care what your status is!

Contestants must be male. Sorry ladies, this one's for the guys only.

Contestants must be of good moral character; no d-bags please!
Awards
Mr. Awesome of Seattle - This man needs no introduction, but he still gets the trophy! He's charming, clever, kind to puppies and kittens, can dance in the rain and turn it into sunshine!
Mr. Cool - While there can be only one Mr. Awesome, our Mr. Cool is still second to none. Our first runner up still takes home a killer title and a fantastic trophy!
Mr. Charitable - The winner of the people's choice contest, Mr. Charitable will be selected by online voting. Funds raised in the candidate's name will be donated to the charity of their choice after the contest!
People's Choice Contest for Mr. Charitable - Participation is completely optional. Hunt through our impressive roster of candidates and vote for the candidate of your choice (voting is done through PayPal at the cost of $1 per vote). Vote as many times as you wish--the winner gets to donate the funds raised in their name to the charity of their choice.
Remaining funds will be used to cover PayPal's fees and defray production costs.
